Candidate:
Samuel S Bornstein

I was born in Toronto on December 18, 1941, lived here all my life and
currently reside in Seaton Village (Dupont and Bathurst)
For most of my business life, I worked in marketing and sales in the
entertainment industry.
In the 80's, I started thinking about neighbourhoods and what changes
could
take place to make them a better place to live, work and play.
I presented these ideas to many of our city, provincial and federal
politicians and bureaucrats.
I recieved dozens of letters stating that this vision should be promoted
and
that I should keep up the good work.
In 1994, I ran for mayor (original city of toronto) and was considered
a
fringe candidate and recieved no media attention. I was not invited
to
participate in any mayoral debates.
In 1996, I set up a web site portal, designed to give easy access to
individuals who care and wanted to share information with others.
www.stime.com & www.stime.ca
I still meet and correspond with the politicians. They still say that
these
are great ideas and I should continue to promote my vision.
I believe that public
transportation is the key to sustainable urban form.
I believe that public transportation can and should be free. It costs
too
much money to collect fares (TTC 134 million dollars in 04)
I also believe that property taxes should be eliminated and be replaced
by
our ability to pay through our income taxes.

We need new leaders.
