Who are you?

I have been a full-time resident of Toronto for over 35 years. A father of 3 and at times a part time student. I am a retired Investment advisor. I have raised millions of dollars with my colleagues for public corporations. 


Why are you running?

I think it will be fun to bring people to this forum to share and explore their political Ideas.

One important issue for the city of Toronto is to remove Howard Moscow from TTC commissioner . One day I was waiting for my bus at a subway station, and heard a couple of TTC drivers talk about how the TTC spent $20,000,000 on arbitration last year.

Also I recall the TTC chairman say that counterfeit tickets and tokens were in multimillions . So his foolish remedy was to stick the bill on cash paying customers, whom I believe to be the poorest of users of public transportation. In short TTC fairs will be rolled back. A toonnie is the max that any rider will pay. If I have my way I will convince city council to rollback fairs to a Looney.
One inspiration that I have had for this city for over a decade is to build Toronto's first real toll causeway, connecting Toronto to Niagra Falls Ontario. This will give us a opportunity to access some of the 20,000,000 visitors that visit Niagra in the summer. The important reasoning for this causeway is to reduce driving time. It will enable everyone crossing this causeway to reach these two cities in 20 minutes as apposed to 1.5 hours. This will also reduce Fossil fuel consumption for this type of trip in half.

The future is great for our young, they are resilient, But I worry about our aging boomers. The coming decade will be filled with them retiring and a large number of them will be living in poverty.


What should a City Councillor be?

The Municipal Government is involved in many aspects of our lives. From fixing roads, providing water and electricity, collecting garbage, caring for our young and elderly, running public transit, supporting the arts/sports and protecting our citizens.  


Anything else?

I am a resident of Beaches East York. I find tranquility daily on the boardwalk.

We need new leaders.
